In Loving Memory of Roger Duggan

Founder of Black Barley Australia

We are deeply saddened to share that Roger Duggan, the founder of Black Barley Australia, passed away from pancreatic cancer in January 2025.

Roger began this journey with just 160 grams of ancient grain, working alongside the Department of Agriculture to bring it to life on the family farm in New Norcia. His passion and vision built the foundation we continue to walk on.

While the past months have been quiet, we’re now gathering our strength and focus. The Duggan family and farming community are committed to continuing Roger’s legacy and keep Black Barley Australia moving forward with the same care, integrity, and vision he embodied.

Thank you for your patience and support.
